Dog Grooming Services
We offer varied grooming services at KD Grooming Studio, as detailed below. We groom to City & Guilds guidelines; however we are usually guided by the dog and the owner, so please mention any particular concerns or wishes when you visit.
Our preferred approach is to create a treatment that is customised to your pet’s specific needs.
A few of our more popular treatments are shown below, with prices.
This is our most popular treatment and includes:
- clipping or scissoring (or both)
- ear care
- nail clipping if necessary
Guide prices for a full groom are as follows:
Small – £37.00 (eg. Westie, Cavalier )
Medium/Large – £39.00 (+) (eg. Border Collie, Golden Retriever, Setter )
Guide Price for Scissored Breeds:

Bathing & De-shedding
Some breeds shed a lot more than others and this treatment will remove as much dead hair/undercoat as possible, which can reduce the amount of continual hair loss in the home. The ears will be cleaned and nails clipped if necessary.
Small – £18.00 (eg. Jack Russell)
Medium – £25.00 (eg. Staffie)
Large – £ 29.00+ (eg. Labrador)
Large – Short haired German Sheppard – £37
– Long haired German Sheppard – £47
– Newfoundland – £90 +
Hand Strip Full Groom
Guide prices are as follows:
Small/medium – £44.00+ (eg. Border Terrier, Jack Russell)
Large – £62.00+ (eg. Italian Spinone)
All prices are issued as a guide only and are subject to each individual dog’s coat condition, size and temperament. Additional costs will be applied if the coat or temperament problems are encountered owing to the extra time and attention needed.
* Prices in effect as of January 2017 and are subject to review due to inflation*
Model Dogs Needed
We do also offer HALF PRICE dog grooming to regular customers. These grooms are to be carried out by a student who is fully supervised and carefully guided throughout the grooming procedure. The model dog would need to stay from between the hours of 10.00am to 4.00pm. They are rested at lunchtime and taken for a walk.
