A note from the Director Kelly Davis
Hello and thank you very much for your interest in our dog grooming courses. I hope that you find the following information helpful. Student numbers are limited on my dog grooming courses to ensure intensive and individual tuition. On the first day, a theory folder is supplied which contains a vast amount of knowledge needed to support you during and after your course. I provide the model dogs for you and fortunately we have an excellent variety of breeds in our area so you will gain lots of experience working with many different breeds. We closely supervise your work and at the end of each day you will be supplied with a comment sheet. This is an overview of your day’s work, broken down into specific sections with constructive criticism. I work hard to ensure that my students have the skills and confidence to build successful careers in the pet grooming industry. Flexible courses to suit the needs of our students
Training is conducted Monday-Friday 10:00-4:00 at the Studio. Learners can choose how many days are attended each week/month provided the exact dates are booked and paid for before the course starts. Weekend courses are also available upon request.  Contact us to find out more and/or to enrol on any of our courses. City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants (7763-02) - 20 day course
Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants (7763-02) – 20 day course You have little or no knowledge or working in the dog grooming industry and want to learn the skills you need to work under supervision in a dog grooming salon. You have 3 years to complete this qualification.  No grooming experience required for this course. City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (7863) - 40 day course
Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (7863) – 40 day course You’ve worked in the dog grooming industry for some time – you have plenty of experience. You have your Level 2 qualification. You want to develop your skills further, learn how to style different breeds of dog and perhaps to move into a management role. You have three years to complete this qualification.   

Funding – Borrow between £300 and £10,000 on the PCDL Programme. Please refer here for further information.

This course is eligible for a Professional and Career Development loan until March 2019. The final date for students to submit applications, will be Friday, 25 January 2019.  

Please note that the exams for this course will only be held in June and November. You can book a refresher day before the exam should you wish to.  The next dates is as follows – Tuesday 13th November 2018 – 09:30 – 11:30

City & Guilds L2/L3 reduced learning hour (RLH) courses for professional groomers
This course is designed for professional groomers who wish to gain a C&G qualification. In order to be considered for an RLH course you will first need to provide us with evidence so that we can suggest a suitable course length and justify offering you a reduced training plan. Price upon application.

City & Guilds Level 3 Handstrip Unit (part of the old (7763-03) Diploma)
This course is suitable for anyone that completed the old level 3 Intro (7763-03). We are no longer delivering the old course. Please contact us if you would like to gain your handstrip qualification in order to complete your course. 
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma Exam (part of the old (7763-03) Diploma)
This course is suitable for anyone that completed the old level 3 Intro (7763-03). We are no longer delivering the old course.If you have already completed your portfolio and written exams and received your Level 3 Certificate in Introductory Dog Grooming, then you are ready to take the practical dog grooming exams for the Diploma. We offer 1-1 Diploma preparation training and mock exam days starting from £200 + VAT per day. 

To book your place on an exam please call PIF on: 01234 273933, you can pay over the phone by Debit/Credit card. At the time of booking you will need to confirm how many units you wish to complete on the exam date (i.e. how many dogs you will groom) and which unit/s (which breed/s).

City & Guilds Level 2 Dog Walking Course - 2.5 day course
This qualification will provide reassurance and peace of mind to pet owners that their pets are in the best possible hands Course Content –  Lone working Breeds Handling Behaviour First Aid & Emergencies Roles & Responsibilities Legislation Run over 2 ½ days, 10am -4pm on the Tuesday and Wednesday, the Thursday has an allocated assessment slot. Course Kits
You are required to have all of your equipment before you start. We can provide you with the full kit at a reduced rate should you wish to purchase this from us.
Booking your course
Upon booking we require a 25% deposit with the full amount to be paid two weeks prior to the start of the course. There is no VAT payable.  We work on a first come first serve basis so your dates will only be secure once the 25% deposit clears in our account.
